Terms, privacy and policies

TechMonk is operated by Blockive Deduction Academy Private Limited. These summaries describe how the platform is intended to work. They are a working draft for the private beta and are not a substitute for counsel-reviewed final terms.

Terms of use

The platform's role

TechMonk provides an AI agent that facilitates transactions between users. The contract for any asset sold is between the buyer and the seller; for any consultation, between the buyer and the expert. TechMonk is an intermediary that verifies, brokers, escrows and settles — it is not a party to the underlying deal, not the seller of the asset, and not the provider of professional advice.

Eligibility

Access is invite-only during the private beta. Users must be 18 or older, transact in their own name, and complete identity verification before receiving any payout. Accounts are personal and may not be shared.

Agent authority

By setting a reserve price or spend ceiling you authorise the agent to negotiate and transact within those bounds on your behalf. The agent will not accept a price outside them. You may withdraw that authority at any time by asking for a human, which pauses negotiation on your side immediately.

Acceptable conduct

Listing assets you do not own or control, misrepresenting condition or authenticity, attempting to settle outside the platform after matching, and using the service to launder funds or evade sanctions are all grounds for immediate suspension and forfeiture of pending payouts.

Privacy policy

What we collect

  • Account and identity data: name, email, phone number, verification documents.
  • Transaction data: listings, offers, counters, settlements, statements.
  • Asset artefacts: ticket PDFs, photographs, serials, certificates you send to the agent.
  • Conversation data: chat messages, voice recordings and transcripts across WhatsApp, voice and SMS.
  • Technical data: device, channel and log data needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To verify assets and identities, to broker and settle transactions, to detect fraud and duplicate listings, to resolve disputes, and to meet legal and tax obligations. Conversation data is processed by our AI agents to conduct the transaction you asked for.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your reserve price, spend ceiling or contact details with the counterparty. We do not licence your conversations or documents to third parties for model training.

Retention and rights

Asset artefacts are retained for the life of the trade plus the dispute window; identity records for the period required by applicable KYC and tax law; conversation data for a rolling audit period. You may request access, correction, export or deletion by writing to privacy@techmonk.site, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

Escrow policy

Funds move into a designated escrow arrangement, never directly between users.

  • Hold: the buyer's payment is collected and held once a price is agreed.
  • Release: funds are released to the seller after the asset is handed over and the buyer's confirmation window closes, or after the agent independently confirms transfer with the issuer.
  • Confirmation window: up to 24 hours for digitally transferable tickets; up to 72 hours for physical goods requiring handover.
  • Expiry: if a seller does not release within the agreed window, the hold expires and the buyer is refunded in full automatically.
  • Dispute: either party may raise a dispute inside the window. Funds stay held until the trade log and evidence are reviewed.

Refunds & cancellation

  • A buyer may cancel free of charge at any point before funds are collected.
  • After funds are held but before the asset is released, cancellation by either party refunds the buyer in full with no marketplace fee retained.
  • If an asset fails verification on handover — wrong seat, invalid barcode, failed authentication — the trade rolls back and the buyer is refunded in full.
  • Event cancellation by the organiser is handled per the organiser's policy; TechMonk refunds its marketplace fee in such cases.
  • Consultations are charged on metered time or answered queries. Sessions an expert never joins are not charged. A buyer who is dissatisfied may raise a review within 24 hours and the session may be refunded at our discretion after reading the transcript.

Prohibited items and uses

  • Tickets whose terms forbid resale, or that are not transferable by the holder.
  • Counterfeit, stolen, or replica goods of any kind.
  • Items requiring a licence to trade — firearms, controlled substances, wildlife products, antiquities without provenance.
  • Financial instruments, securities, and anything constituting a regulated investment offering.
  • Consultations that constitute an attempt to obtain assistance with illegal activity, or that impersonate a professional relationship the expert is not qualified to provide.
